Mary's Motel was opened in the 1990s by local businesswoman Mary Inatio and her husband. Though Mary has since passed away, the Kiribati hotel is now run, managed and staffed by her children.  

Mary's son George Teanako is the General Manager and oversees the smooth running of the business. He always happy to share his local knowlege with guests and ensure they have an enjoyable stay.
